At Riverview, we welcome all our guests with open arms, extending the same love and care we would give to our own pets.
With a team of dedicated staff at our custom built facility, we are committed to creating a safe and friendly home from home for your pet during their stay .

Kennels & Cattery:
- Check in / out: 10.30am – 12 noon*
- *late check in/out (5:30pm – 6.30pm) this must be pre-arranged and a surcharge applies
We ask that you bring the following items so that your dog/cat’s stay is as comfortable as possible:
- Food for their entire stay
- Their harness for walking, if they wear one
- Any special treats they usually get
- We provide very comfy beds however, if your pet has a special bed or would rather have their own bed, please bring this
- We have a full toy box however, if your pet has particular toys they enjoy, bring them along
- A completed booking form and a copy of your pet’s vaccinations record
Cats: 1 vaccination is needed, known as FELV, it must be administered yearly.
Dogs: There are 2 vaccinations to get, the yearly Booster, which is an injection, and the Kennel Cough vaccination, which is a liquid administered into the nostril. Both these vaccinations are yearly and must be up to date.
Please note: Any vaccinations that are out of date must be given at least 2 weeks prior to staying at Riverview.

We encourage everyone to come have a look around Riverview and meet the team. We will show you around the entire facilities, including the kennels themselves and our various indoor and outdoor exercise areas.
We want you to know exactly where your dog or cat will be staying and how they will be cared for. We pride ourselves in looking after every guest like our own and have our full CCTV system shown in the reception for you to view on arrival. 8am – 10am Time for a short walk before breakfast
10am – 12pm Let breakfast settle with a nap and some quiet time
12pm- 4pm Guests are ready for for some exercise! Activities are tailored to each dog after individual needs have been assessed. Playtime options include long country walks, walks around the quiet village, one-on-one playtime in one of the Riverview play areas, supervised playtime with other dogs (depending on assessment) or if your dog is elderly or recovering from an injury we limit physical activity but always make time for plenty of cuddles.
4pm – 6pm After all the fun, guests are pretty pooped, time to retire to their room for some down time and a nap
6pm – 8pm Time for dinner and a walk before settling in for the night. All rooms benefit from underfloor heating, relaxing classical music and dimly lit nightlights, keeping guests cosy throughout the night.
The most common questions we are asked regarding required vaccinations:
To help ensure all our guests maintain good health during their stay, we require that all pets are up to date with their annual vaccinations. Vaccination reports must be presented at check in. Required vaccinations include:
Kennel Cough – All dogs must have had their kennel cough vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to their stay at Riverview.
Booster Vaccination – All dogs must be up to date with their annual booster – if it has expired, the primary 2 vaccinations must both be given before their stay.
*Puppies must have had their primary injections (first 2 injections) prior to their stay.
